João Pimenta Gomes presents a unique performance with a replica of the Cristal Baschet, a sculptural and musical instrument conceived in 1952 by the Baschet brothers. Composed of chromatically tuned glass rods, the instrument is activated by the performer’s direct touch: moistened fingers that, when drawn across the glass, awaken pure, almost ethereal vibrations. Through this instrument, João Pimenta Gomes explores the intricate relationships between sound, matter, and vibration.
