Alessandra Eramo’s, artist, vocalist and composer, live performance focuses on the voice in its relationship with noise and the environment. With a collage of soundscapes and hypnotic voices, she goes beyond sound into deeper layers of poetic expression. Beat-boxing, languageclicking, screeching, silsing: Eramo explores trance states in singing by the use of extended vocal techniques, non-verbal vocalization, raw noise, melodies, distortion, fragmented words and unknown languages, interweaving a dynamic use of field recordings, feedbacks, samplers and pre-recorded sound material. In reference to sound poetry, the concert aims to generate an immersive acoustic experience, as a spiritual exercise shared with listeners.
