Fictional Forest is an electroacoustic sound installation, designed for the main room of the Sinel de Cordes Palace. The piece was constructed around the idea of a fictional natural-ready-made, by re-appropriating organic elements of Portuguese agricultural heritage. The rye branches were individually selected and transplanted into an unusual acoustic setting, where the reverb of the big saloon isolates and intensifies the Sound clashes produced by the contact between grains.

This large-scale work explores the opposition between the romantic memory of the golden Rye fields, into a situation that is entirely fictional, abnormal, mechanic, and perhaps surreal.
