How to Experience a Non-Time?
Through a durational performance, we enter a floating sound space, composed of recordings from other times, hidden sounds from where we are, and others created through the modulation of electric currents.
By attentively listening to multiple worlds—either in unison or intertwined—the sculpting of frequencies becomes the unique point where moments fuse.
Without external references, many have lost structural memories within these spaces.

What are we without the stories that shape us and surround us?
What kinds of energies arise within us when there are no boundaries between who we are and what happens through the act of simply listening?

Carla Santana is dedicated to contemplative ways of living and working with sound, creating soundscapes through field recordings, electroacoustic captures, analog and digital synthesis, and the processing of diverse sonic sources. She experiences sound not only for its musical potential but also as an artistic object.

She regularly performs in improvised music concerts with musicians from a wide variety of sonic spectrums, in ensembles such as Variable Geometry Orchestra, IKB, and Isotope Ensemble. She plays an electronic duo with Carlos Santos and is a member of Quarto Com Luz (with Samuel Gapp, Michael Schiefel, Helena Espvall, and João Valinho), Barullo Colectivo (with Clara Lai, João Valinho, José Lencastre), Griot 3000, among other projects. She is also part of the experimental improvised music collective Lantana (with Joana Guerra, Maria do Mar, Maria Radich, Helena Espvall, and Anna Piosik).

She presents her solo creations (concerts, audiovisual compositions, sound acts, manifestos) under the name Quatroconnection.
